Terms of Service

Last updated October 5, 2026

Welcome to Wovi. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Wovi ("Wovi," "we," "us") governing your use of the Wovi website, apps, and concierge services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What Wovi is — and isn't

Wovi is an administrative concierge for families caring for aging adults. We help with tasks like decoding medical bills and insurance notices, keeping a shared calendar, placing calls to schedule appointments or check on prescriptions, drafting insurance appeals for your review, and monitoring linked financial accounts for unusual activity.

  • Wovi is not a healthcare provider. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Information from the Service is administrative in nature. Always consult a qualified professional for medical decisions. In an emergency, call 911.
  • Wovi is not a law firm, insurance company, or financial advisor. Appeal drafts, bill summaries, and account alerts are informational tools, not legal, insurance, or investment advice.
  • We never move money. Wovi does not pay bills, transfer funds, or authorize payments on anyone's behalf.

2. AI assistance and human review

Parts of the Service are powered by artificial intelligence, including our chat assistant and a voice agent that can place real phone calls to providers, pharmacies, and other businesses on your behalf. The voice agent always identifies itself as an AI assistant calling for your family. AI systems can make mistakes: always review confirmations, summaries, and drafts before relying on them. High-stakes items (like insurance appeals) receive human review before they are sent, but you remain responsible for verifying information that matters to your family's care and finances.

3. Your account and authorization to act

  • You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information.
  • You're responsible for your login credentials and all activity on your account.
  • By submitting a request, you authorize Wovi to contact providers, pharmacies, insurers, and other businesses on your or your family member's behalf for that request, and you represent that you have the right to give us that authorization — including the consent of the family member concerned (or their legal representative) to share their information for that purpose.
  • You agree not to misuse the Service — including submitting fraudulent requests, impersonating others, attempting to access other families' data, or using the Service for anything unlawful.

4. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly, as you choose, through our payment processor, Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout and on our website.
  • New subscriptions include a free trial (currently 7 days), once per person and per payment card. A payment method is required to start the trial; your card is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel first. We send a reminder before your trial ends.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your account's billing portal; you keep access through the end of the period you've paid for.
  • Founding-family pricing is limited, applies while your subscription remains active, and is non-transferable. Referral credits are applied as account credit toward future invoices once the referred family has paid twice ($0 free-trial invoices don’t count), have no cash value, and may be revoked in cases of abuse (such as self-referral or fake accounts).

Refunds

  • You can cancel any time. You keep access through the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again. We don’t give partial refunds for unused time.
  • If the person you care for passes away, let us know from your account (“Let us know about a loss”). We stop everything for them and adjust your plan. We’ll also refund your most recent payment, or their share of it if others remain on your plan, when: they were on your account for at least 30 days, the payment was made in the last 45 days, you aren’t in a free trial, and your account hasn’t had a bereavement refund in the past year. Founding plans cover the whole family at one price, so nothing is refunded while others remain on the plan. For anything else, email hello@mywovi.com.
  • If you think you were charged by mistake, email hello@mywovi.com and we’ll review it.
  • Otherwise, and except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

5. Text messages and calls

With your consent, we send service-related text messages (appointment confirmations, alerts, verification codes) to numbers you provide. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any Wovi text to opt out of that category of messages. You represent that you own, or have the owner's permission to enroll, any phone number you add. Calls placed by our voice agent may be recorded and transcribed for quality and record-keeping where permitted by law.

6. Your content and data

You retain ownership of the documents and information you upload (bills, insurance notices, contact details, and so on). You grant Wovi a limited license to use them solely to provide the Service — for example, reading a bill to summarize it, or sharing an appointment request with a provider's office. Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (such as payment processing, telephony, and secure account linking). Their availability affects ours, and their terms govern your direct relationship with them. We are not responsible for actions of providers' offices, pharmacies, insurers, or other businesses we contact on your behalf — including whether they honor an appointment or approve a claim.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WOVI DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT EVERY REQUEST WILL BE COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WOVI WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID WOVI IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for other users, with notice where practicable. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 8, 9, and 12) survive.

11. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We're an early-stage service and features will evolve. If we make material changes to these Terms, we'll notify you (for example, by email or in-app notice) before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Utah County, Utah, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please contact us — most concerns can be resolved quickly and informally.
